Children at this age make relationships with teachers and other children for the first time. Their social and experiential context evolves in their environment as they connect with materials, other children, and adults. These relationships form the basis for the construction of knowledge and social interactions. Through the use of rich and varied materials, the children learn how the world works. By doing these explorations, the children make choices and express creative thinking.
