What age children attend?

Bright Start are licensed for and accept children from age 2 and they remain enrolled until they graduate to kindergarten.

How many days may a child attend?

2-5 days a week. We offer half days 8am-12:30pm or full days 8am- 4:30pm. 2 half days is only offered in our toddler class.

How are children enrolled?

There is usually a waiting list for children. If you would like to add your child’s name to our list, please submit an application. Once you have completed the form and submitted it your child’s name will be entered onto our waitlist list. When we When we have spaces for new children (typically in the summer/fall) we offer them to age-eligible children from the waiting list. Rarely, we have mid-year openings; but if we do we offer the space to children who are already enrolled and might be age eligible to move up to the next age group and after that we offer the space to the next age-eligible child on the waiting list. Siblings have priority enrollment.

In compliance with state licensing regulations effective 2016: Pursuant to SB 277, each child in the program must present proof of immunizations required by the state of California. Please see https://www.shotsforschool.org/child-care. Starting January 1, 2021 medical exemptions can only be issued through the California Immunization Registry – Medical Exemption website (CAIR-ME) by physicians licensed in California Schools and child care facilities may only accept from parents new medical exemptions that are issued using CAIR-ME.
